On Languages & Dialects Of The World
In this Languages Dot My
online resources on languages of the world website,
you will find lots of valuable, fun and enriching
informations on world's greatly diversed languages.
We will start by looking at the world's "lingua franca" (common universal
language), ENGLISH. We will study and analyse the differences between the original
BRITISH ENGLISH ("Queen's English") and the increasingly popular
AMERICAN ENGLISH. We will also look at other "localized" or "regionalized"
ENGLISH languages, such as Australian English, New Zealand English,
Malaysia English (Manglish), Singapore English (Singlish),
China English (Chinglish), India English (Inglish), etc.
We will also analyse the differences and contrasts between the
beautiful (but complicated) "traditional" ("fanti") Chinese characters
(that are full of hidden meanings) with the "skeleton" bare-essential
"simplified" ("jianti") Chinese characters that are so much simpler
and less aesthetics (and almost completely devoid of all hidden meanings).
We will also look at the differences and contrasts as well as similarities
between the MANDARIN CHINESE language which is the official "common language"
("putonghua") of CHINA (and the Chinese all over the world)
with the most popular and widelt spoken local Chinese Dialects such as
Cantonese ("Guangdonghua" or "Yue"),
Hokkien ("Fujianhua" or "Minnan"),
Hakka or Kek ("Kejiahua"),
Hailam or Hainanese("Hainanhua"),
Teochew ("Chaozhouhua"),
Foochow or Hockchiew ("Fuzhouhua"),
Shanghainese ("Shanghaihua"), etc.
We will also look at the MALAY language ("Bahasa Melayu")
and study its many different versions spoken in Malaysia (Bahasa Malaysia),
Singapore, Indonesia ("Bahasa Indonesia"), Brunei ("Bahasa Brunei"),
etc. Special focus will be on how Malaysia is making an effort to have all
its citizens in the 13 states to speak one standardized Malay language
(known as "Bahasa Melayu Baku" which means "the standardized Malay language")
instead of the different versions of localized Malay languages such as
"Bahasa Kelantan" (of the Kelantan state in Peninsular Malaysia) or
the "Bahasa Sarawak" (of the Sarawak state on East Malaysia - part of Borneo island).

In simple terms, "communication", "communicating" or
"to communicate" is the process or act to let another person know
informations such as what you know, what you think or what you feel
and to pass on news in general.
"Communication" is crucial towards the co-existence and survival
of human beings and most creatures in general.
The ability to communicate and create understanding between one another members
of small groupings such as a family, community, village, company, organisation, etc.
will ensure the success and strength of the family to survive and thrive.
"Communication" is especially crucial towards the survival and expansion
of sub-species of a creature, for example the different clans and races that
speak the same language or live at the same place.
And of course, "Communication" is most crucial towards building
understanding, tolerance and collaborations
between different races, clans, tribes or families in the same locality,
between different provinces and states in the same nation,
between different nations in the world ... and one day,
even between different worlds and planets in the universe.
Remember: "Proper Communication ensures the understanding and harmony
that strengthen the survival skills
of human beings, animals, birds, insects and other living organisms.
